The web server stores your website's information, graphics, photos, and other media ideally in a secure data center maintained by a web hosting company. These types of companies allow website clients to upload their websites to either a shared server or dedicated server. A shared server holds several websites, potentially thousands whereas a dedicated server holds one or a few. A dedicated server is designed for high traffic sites that require fast downloading times and fast processing.
